![]() ![]() Instead of making it impossible for them to take territory (like now) you're making it much harder for small corps to hold territory. There doesn't seem to be an incentive for small corps there. Timed properly around a "workday", you could have folks in some timezones hitting you and leaving the bulk of your forces with under 4 hours to clear it out (12 hours to hold disruptor - 8 hour workday!). (or, to claim SOV in an unclaimed area)įor smaller corps, which CCP says they want to encourage in 0.0, won't that sorta be problematic? It's the equivalent of a long, long EQ camp or raid, and I'm curious how many gamers not already in 0.0 will be willing to sit through that sort of disruptor defense over and over again - particularly mid-week, when you get attacked on a time-zone you don't play on, and have 12 hours to get in and get it done. That seems to cut down on the back-and-forth flipping we see presently, but means that there's a long period where you've got to hold a defense force in the area in order to see that your disruptor fields don't get knocked offline. claiming Right - but those are technically two seperate processes - you are now required to maintain a defense force on all your disruptor "attempts" for a 12 hour window, plus a little more time to kill the claim marker. ![]() I'll be back later to link dev blogs, gotta get back to work.Īctually it'll take a total of 36 hours to flip sov.ġ2 for the disrupters to come on line (during which they must be defended), this drops the invulnerability on the System Claimer, which then must be killed, and another 24 hours have to be held for the new claimer to start. Oh, and all the sov changes are going to be crazy. Expect to need to learn to use precision standard missles soon. And will probably become one of the favored roaming ships now due to crazy speed/dps combined with a very low sig radius for speed tanking. (imagine a Dominix with a harder tank, more damage (from cruise/torpedos), and the same Domi Drone bonii, dammmmn) I expect the Rattlesnake will replace the CNR as the "mission runners" ship of choice.ĪF's are getting a 15% bonus to Afterburner speed per frigate level (so 75% hard bonus cause you need Frigate V to drive them). I sold a Rattlesnake BPC a month back, and now I'm wishing I had kept it as my new plex running ship. The Moros' Drone damage bonus now only works in siege, which is crap because Moros were the only dread capable of being useful against sub-caps via their drones.Īll faction and pirate ships are being redone, and have gone WAY up in price because they are being made better. ![]() As they require fighters V, I don't think there will be many of these for a while. Motherships are motherships no more, they are now "supercarriers", and can field special fighters called Fighter Bombers, which are supposed to be able to take out cap ships fairly well using torpedos. Titans are now super Dreads, with insane bonus to gun (or missle I guess) damage, and the Doomsday is gone completely, to be replaced by a massive single target DD, which can kill most carriers/dreads in a single hit. I'll link the dev blogs in question at the end, but the overall gist is So much ado has been made about the coming changes in Domination, now we have "some" details. ![]()
